What is the one room in the house where everyone congregates?

Yep. The kitchen.
It’s where the magic happens, afterall!
I initially bought this projector to play cozy, fall movies while I made dinner and began my seasonal baking efforts. But now that it’s here, we’ve brought new meaning to “Dinner and a movie.” I can already hear the football games on in here, and I can’t wait to see what my Christmas kitchen looks and feels like with the classics playing directly over the stove in the background of our buzzing kitchen.
The first thing you need to know about me is I’m a “Sound snob.” I don’t even hesitate to say this, because when you’ve grown up with music-loving parents and an extensive collection of records, reel-to-reels and 8-tracks being played on cutting edge, ahead-of-their-time speakers – you can’t help but get frustrated listening to movies and music on sub-par speakers. It’s as if I’m only hearing half the song.
This projector’s speaker has Dolby Audio sound and I am impressed!

My new toy!
We were a little skeptical about the details of this projector but wanted to give it a whirl and the price was right.
Let’s just say it’s giving our $1,500 one in our media room a run for it’s money. Especially considering the price difference of the two.
Here are some details that make this a great purchase – and at a price that doesn’t feel too indulgent if only using seasonally, in your kitchen, for example. But I would make the case that it would be a super fun alternative to a TV on a big, bare wall anywhere in your home or on a lanai!
The screen brightness and contrast ratio – We shot these photos and filmed this reel at about 6pm on September 1st and the kitchen was by no-means “dark.” If you were to have this set up in a dedicated media room, it would be fantastic.
Autofocus – This is key! You can move it around and take it place to place and not have to worry about manually focusing it each time. Our $1,500 one doesn’t have autofocus.
The power draw is reasonable at around 124 watts. This is really good especially given how bright it is!
We’re using it with AppleTV. You can use it with FireTV or Roku.
The fan noise is a tad higher than we’d like, but it’s still not bad and – again – not noticeable if you’re using this projector in a kitchen while cooking and eating anyway.

I don’t love looking at a TV in any room. We also don’t need to always have a TV on. But there are just some occasions that call for a background of the sights and sounds of nostalgia. Beginning with Fall.
Let me know if you try this!
Love,
Linds xo

This Sweatsuit!
It’s thick, soft and makes me so happy! I wanted an oversized sweatshirt so I got the M/L. I ordered the pants in S/M. For reference I’m 5’7″.
These Candles!
I ALWAYS get asked about these beause the light they give off is so warm! They glow in the best way. So often, battery-operated candles are just so yellow! These are perfect. I’ve had this exact same set since 2021 and they still work!

Drippy Black Taper Candles
Love the melting wax detail on these! I use black candles year-round. We bought this last October and they’re still awesome!

Glass & Brass Lanterns
We use these inside and outside! They’ve got a great weight to them. We have three!
Washable Runner!
We love this pattern so much we have it Sapphire also in Magnus’ bathroom!

JUMBO Candles
We have four of these and we use them year-round in the backyard by the pool, the backyard fireplace, on our stairway, in our kitchen and on our front stoop! Ours were from Home Depot four years ago, but these are the same size! Not a bad price for two – they’re huge, 12″ x 6″!
